Skill Set Saturday

This skill has been picked out from our EBook called The Beginner Riders Handbook. Elbow to Bit Line. This is a really important skill that we have to develop as riders to ensure that we can keep our hands and our arms soft and supple at all times. If our hands drop below this line then our communication becomes very harsh and abrupt on the horses mouth. If our hands get to high then we start to constantly be applying way too much pressure and causing the bit to lift up in to the roof of the horses mouth. All of these things cause discomfort to our horses and want to be avoided at all times.

Happy Riding Everyone!
